KEMPTON PARK CIVIC PRECINCT
IDC Architects were commissioned to by the City of Ekurhuleni Department of City Planning to undertake the concept design of the Kempton Park Civic Sub-Precinct, incorporating all envisaged development proposals within the precinct into a holistic development proposal to address all the stake holder needs.
THE DESIGN INCORPORATED
- Modern office accommodation to cater for the City of Ekurhuleni’s current and future needs– 10 659m²
- A Retail Mall to promote much needed economic activity within the precinct– 10 500m²
- A first-class Conference Facility – 3 000m²
- A Day Care facility for CITY OF EKURHULENI employees – 300m²
- Parking for use by CITY OF EKURHULENI staff and public – 40 585m² (1 623 bays)
The objectives of development of the Civic Sub-Precinct into this world class precinct is to rejuvenate the area into an economic hub within the Kempton Park CBD and to incorporate all municipal public interactive departments into one public user friendly hub.
